Long established as a world-class sport fishing, activity and ‘eco-aware’
centre, Crocodile Bay is a prestigious addition to our holiday portfolio.
There is superb offshore and inshore fishing within 30 minutes of
the lodge, and a fine fleet of 31 boats from 17-foot flats to 33
foot strike tower boats. Bill fishing the Pacific for sailfish,
striped, blue and black marlin, dorrado, tuna and wahoo is fantastic
sport, especially on the fly. Inshore, in the Golfo Dulce, the most
popular target is the rooster fish (for which the lodge record is
106 pounds), but there are also cubara snapper, jack crevalle, bluefin
trevally, mackerel and grouper, which can be fished for year-round.
The area adjacent to the lodge is mangrove - fascinating to explore
by kayak - and beyond that, the rainforest. Guided birdwatching
and wildlife tours will discover dozens of colourful and fascinating
species.
Snorkellers will love the sheltered waters of the Golfo Dulce, whilst
Matapolo Beach is only twenty minutes from the lodge for surfers.
